Short description

Penge is a Norwegian personal finance app that connects to more than 2500 banks in over 30 countries through Open Banking and brings accounts, transactions, budgets and subscriptions together in one view. Users create their own categories instead of being locked to a fixed template, and the app categorises automatically only when it is confident of the category. Budgets are set per category, and the app follows spending against them over time. Penge also scans the transaction history for recurring charges and finds the user's subscriptions, including forgotten ones, with what each costs per month and when the next charge lands. Transactions can be split across categories, and if a bank is not supported, files can be imported instead. Penge carries no ads and does not sell user data. Bank access is read-only, the app never stores login credentials, and user data is encrypted.
